Call or email to learn more about our services and schedule an evaluation (if applicable). Please complete the intake form prior to your appointment. Consultations are available for clients who would like to talk with a therapist before scheduling a speech and/or language evaluation.

A screening can also be scheduled if you aren’t sure about diving into a full formal evaluation. The screening is a smaller scale version of the evaluation and can be used along with observations to determine if a formal evaluation is warranted.

Initial Evaluation

After the consultation, an evaluation will either be scheduled or a current full evaluation can be used (it will be validated by the therapist for credibility first) to determine and establish the current areas of need and discuss and parent/guardian concerns. The initial evaluation will take approximately 1 hour and may consist of standardized testing, parent interview, clinical observations during therapist and child-led activities.

Treatment

Depending on the results from the initial evaluation, a treatment plan will be developed based on the areas of need. A schedule will be put in place to ensure consistent therapeutic sessions. We often see clients 1-2x weekly depending on your therapist’s recommendation. At this time, services can be provided at your child’s daycare/school, in-home services (depending on location). We strongly value family involvement and collaboration in order to provide for a dynamic therapy and consistent carryover.
